Stephanie presents in Mental Health Management classes each semester at the University of Central Florida as a guest speaker informing students of options and how-tos for a private practice post-degree.
On Television
Stephanie M. Rivera Velazquez conducts a therapy session on Hot & Heavy, a reality TV show on TLC.
Stephanie filmed a couples therapy session as the grand season finale for a TV show based on mixed-weight relationships on TLC. Three and a half hours worth of a session for 3 minutes of air time. This does not display when Stephanie taught them coping or had them model communication skills.
Conference Presentations
Stephanie presented at the EB-ACA (European Branch of the American Counseling Association) on the group curriculum she developed for military veterans titled “Overcoming & Surpassing: Group Curriculum for Veterans with PTSD.” This conference was held in Naples, Italy.
Stephanie presented at APA’s (American Psychological Association) CRCP (Carribean Regional Conference of Psychology) on behalf of her group on raising awareness for multicultural children with a poster titled: “Multicultural & Multiracial Children: A Self-Esteem Issue in Today’s Society.” This conference was held in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
