Frequently Asked Questions

What is your policy?

Intake paperwork is to be completed before our initial, or intake, session. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy, meaning if you do not cancel the session prior to the 24 hour window, you will be subject to a $60 late cancel or no-show fee. In order to better serve you, I do not double-book sessions. Therefore, when you do not attend and cancel late, I lose the ability to provide my services to someone in need.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I do not accept health insurances. There are actually many personal benefits to funding therapy via self-pay. I do accept clients that claim out-of-network (OON) benefits, and would be happy to provide a superbill. Please consult your insurance company to verify your OON coverage. It can oftentimes be counted towards your yearly deductible. I am also in the application process for the following insurance panels: Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and Tricare.

why video sessions?

Video sessions offer flexibility. For those who don’t like to be out in the evenings, having therapy from your desk or kitchen. This is an economical alternative, as it helps avoid transportation expenses, or sitting in traffic to attend a face to face therapy session. If you’re out of town, therapy would not have to be interrupted. I have had clients have phone and video sessions with me while they are driving out of town for work. Life happens, but missing therapy doesn’t have to.

What are your office hours?

My office hours fluctuate each semester, as my doctoral requirements fluctuate. For the Spring 2020 semester, I am available on Mondays 2-5pm, Tuesdays 4-9pm, and Wednesdays 2-9pm.

WHAT ARE YOU RATES?

My rate is $100 for 45-50 minute sessions. I am dually licensed, bilingual, and hold several certifications.
